【MotoGP Race Report】British Grand Prix Final: Raul Fernandez Wins in Dominant Fashion for First Victory of the Season! Ai Ogura Retires After a Crash

In the MotoGP Round 11 British Grand Prix final race held at Silverstone Circuit, Raul Fernandez, who started from second place, took a solo victory for his first win of the season. Jorge Martin finished second, and Marco Bezzecchi took third, with Aprilia riders occupying the podium.

Fernandez Takes Solo Victory for First Win of the Season, Ai Ogura and Bagnaia Crash Out

Raul Fernandez (SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team), starting from the second grid, got a perfect start and took the holeshot into Turn 1, leading the race from start to finish. On lap 3, he set the fastest lap, extending his lead to two seconds, and maintained a dominant performance throughout. Fernandez crossed the finish line to take his first victory of the season, becoming the 12th different winner in the last 12 races at Silverstone.

A fierce battle for the top positions raged behind him. Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing), who started from pole position, and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) fought for second place, with Martin ultimately securing second and Bezzecchi third, both making it to the podium. Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) crashed on lap 8, and Ai Ogura (SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team), who was second in the championship standings, also crashed at Turn 16 on lap 9, ending his race.

Martin Extends Lead, Top Ducati Rider is Alex Marquez in Fourth

In the latter stages of the race, intense battles continued in the mid-pack, with Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) passing Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) to move up to sixth place. The highest-placed Ducati rider was Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), who finished in fourth place, followed by Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) in fifth. Marc Marquez finished in seventh.

The top Honda rider was Luca Marini (Honda HRC Castrol) in ninth place, with Diogo Moreira (Pro Honda LCR) finishing tenth. With these results, points leader Martin extended his lead in the title race, holding a 31-point advantage over second-placed Bezzecchi and a 40-point lead over seventh-placed Marc Marquez.
