Since it’s built on the premise that it won’t break, there's virtually no need for maintenance. For someone who primarily uses the bike for commuting, being easy to ride without stress—and above all, not having to worry about breakdowns—are absolute musts. The fact that it can also adapt well to different weather and road conditions makes it even more appealing for occasional touring. Despite its relatively small displacement, the 400X has a strong presence and feels like a dependable companion, even on long rides without causing fatigue.

When riding a bike daily, it’s important to have some visual touches that lift your spirits. The owner has chosen a few dress-up parts that he particularly enjoys. First is the MORIWAKI ENGINEERING Frame Hole Plugs, which hide the otherwise exposed swingarm bolts and nuts, solving what he felt was a visual flaw in the stock appearance. For a splash of color around the engine, he added a red TSR Timing Hole Cap Slider. He also installed a MORIWAKI ENGINEERING Oil Filler Cap, captivated by its beautiful red anodized finish. As a finishing touch, he applied a FACTORY EFFEX Honda Racing Sticker to the carbon-printed under cover to enhance its styling.

One of his favorite upgrades—so much so that he’s purchased it three times—is the PROGRIP Superbike Grips. They offer the perfect balance of firmness and softness for both racing and sporty riding, while providing excellent grip and reducing slippage. Since commuting and comfort go hand in hand, he focused on improving the handlebar area for wind protection. The SW-MOTECH KOBRA Handguard Kit paired with SW-MOTECH KOBRA Handguard Extensions gives the bike a more rugged, fortified look and improves wind buffering, reducing fatigue during rides. The overall appearance is more refined now, and he’s very satisfied with the result.

This bike proves that when you put care into even a commuter motorcycle, it can become a reliable presence—one that might even blow away those dreaded Monday blues.
