[Overseas] DUKE's First Non-Street-Legal Model "1390 SUPER DUKE RR TRACK" Arrives in a World Limited Edition of 100 Units

KTM has announced the new "1390 SUPER DUKE RR TRACK". This is the first track-only model in the DUKE series, with all street-legal components removed for thorough weight reduction. It complies with FIM regulations, making it ready for immediate use in races. Production is limited to 100 units worldwide, with pricing yet to be announced. The release is scheduled for May 2026.

Unprecedented Weight Reduction and Exclusive Parts Beyond Production Models

The "DUKE" series from KTM, available across all displacement classes, emphasizes lightweight design and high-power engine characteristics, as indicated by its "Hyper Naked" designation, differentiating it from other manufacturers' naked models. However, these have always been street-oriented, with no dedicated race models released. The newly announced "1390 SUPER DUKE RR TRACK," based on the 2026 "1390 SUPER DUKE RR," is the first in the series to be exclusively designed for closed courses.

Compared to the base 1390 SUPER DUKE RR, all components necessary for legal road use have been omitted and adjusted to comply with FIM racetrack regulations. This results in a weight reduction of 9 kg compared to the "RR" and a significant 20 kg reduction compared to the standard "1390 SUPER DUKE R."

Achieved a weight reduction of 20kg from the base model, with a dry weight of just 177kg!

To achieve this remarkable weight reduction, KTM's R&D team has completely eliminated all road-legal parts and panels. Furthermore, carbon fiber body parts are used extensively for the exterior, and lightweight forged magnesium wheels are fitted. The bike also features a full titanium Akrapovič Evolution Line exhaust, titanium screws, and an integrated electronic control platform with minimized functions.

Equipment has also been upgraded. To enhance handling characteristics, WP cone valve front forks are employed. The braking system features Brembo brakes derived from Superbike specifications, and the tires are Michelin Power Performance Slicks, designed for extreme grip. The result of this uncompromising technological investment is a track-only machine that truly embodies "READY TO RACE" for riders daring enough to break the rules!

Various safety components are minimized, and many exterior parts are made of carbon fiber.

The suspension features magnesium forged wheels. The exhaust is the Akrapovič Evolution Line.

This model is a limited production run of only 100 units worldwide. It will be released starting May 2026 and will be available through authorized KTM dealers overseas. There are no announced plans for introduction in Japan or specific pricing. However, for radical riders who want to take their DUKE to the track, it is advisable to keep gathering information.
