Full Utilization of Parts: GPZ1100 Custom

Mototech's GPZ1100

The GPZ1100 is one of the successors to the GPZ900R Ninja, and is equipped with the original Ninja's bodyworks.

The work was carried out while making the most of the parts already installed, but the most important thing was the proper adjustment of the front fork length and function. In accordance with this, the top bridge and other parts were replaced. Distance collars were made additionally to properly center the rear wheel, and the carburetor was adjusted to fit the owner's needs. The bike was customized into the ideal form with a Ninja cowl, and the feeling of security in riding was greatly changed, evolving into a ease of riding that one experiences for the first time.

Bodyworks

The base model is GPZ1100 of 1995 model, but the cowl, mirrors, and blinkers are from GPZ900R. Additionally, Zero Gravity windshield has been installed.

Electrical

The inside of the Ninja cowl and the meters are retained, the stem shaft is one-off to match the front fork with C-type ZZR1100 outer tube and D-type inner tube with appropriate inner parts. The top bridge and steering stem were replaced with ZZR1100 parts.

Engine

The engine remains to be stock, but it has been equipped with FCR Φ37mm carburetor and a titanium full exhaust system. The radiator has also been enlarged.

Intake & Exhaust

The carburetor has a filter and has been adjusted by Mototech to match the owner's riding style.

Chassis

The front brake consist of a combination of Brembo axial calipers and SUSNTAR brake discs. The front fork is a mixed C and D Type specification of ZZR1100.

The aluminum swingarm has been replaced with an aftermarket part, and Ohlins rear shock has been reset.

The wheels are forged aluminum Gale Speed TYPE-R, 3.50-17 for the front and 5.50-17 the rear. The rear wheel was not centered, but Mototech has adjusted it with one-off distance collar. Caliper support is chosen from aftermarket parts to suits these specifications.
