[New European Models] New Colors Added! 2027 Model Year Announced for Honda "CMX1100 Rebel" Series

Honda has announced the 2027 model year for its large cruisers, the "CMX1100 Rebel," "CMX1100T Rebel," and "CMX1100SE Rebel," in Europe. New color schemes have been added to each model, emphasizing their street style. Note that availability in Japan has not been announced.

Ride in Full Colour: New Finishes for 27YM Custom and Touring Favourites

The "CMX1100 Rebel" series is a large cruiser model that debuted in 2021 as a higher-end version of the highly popular "CMX500 Rebel" in Europe. In 2023, the touring-spec "CMX1100T Rebel" was added, and with the major updates for the 2025 model year, the factory custom "CMX1100SE Rebel" was also added to the lineup.

At its heart lies the 1084cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine derived from the "CRF1100L Africa Twin." With a 92mm bore, 81.5mm stroke, and a 10.5:1 compression ratio, it produces a maximum output of 65kW and a peak torque of 98Nm. By adopting a dedicated camshaft and a high-mass flywheel, the unique pulse feel of the 270-degree crank is emphasized. Additionally, the 5.3L oval-section muffler provides both a deep bass at low RPMs and a powerful exhaust note at high RPMs.

Equipped with throttle-by-wire, the bike features riding modes that integrate control over engine power, engine braking, and the level of intervention from the Honda Selectable Torque Control. In addition to the three preset modes—standard "STANDARD," rain-focused "RAIN," and performance-oriented "SPORT"—two "USER" modes are available to save preferred settings.

Two transmission options are available: a 6-speed manual and a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The DCT uses two clutches to independently control odd and even gears, achieving seamless and quick shifts. According to the company, 57 percent of "CMX1100 Rebel" owners in Europe choose the DCT. This DCT system has been optimized for clutch response at ultra-low speeds below 10 km/h, improving ease of handling during starts and U-turns.

New Colors for Standard and Touring Models

Three variations are available to suit different uses and styles. In addition to the standard "CMX1100 Rebel," the "CMX1100T Rebel" features a fork-mounted half-fairing and hard panniers with a total capacity of 35L, enhancing comfort and cargo capacity for long-distance riding. The "CMX1100SE Rebel" is a special edition that comes standard with machined aluminum bar-end mirrors, a color-matched nose cowl, fork boots, a dedicated front fender, and a diamond-stitched seat.

The vehicle weight is 226kg for the manual version and 236kg for the DCT version. The "CMX1100T Rebel" weighs 240kg for the manual and 250kg for the DCT, while the "CMX1100SE Rebel" is set at 237kg. As a change for the 2027 model year, new color schemes have been added to each variation. All models adopt colors that highlight the minimalist and rugged bobber style that has been a hallmark of the series.

Iridium Gray Metallic (CMX1100 Rebel)

A new color, Iridium Gray Metallic, has been added to the standard "CMX1100 Rebel." Including the continuing Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, there are now two colors available.

A new color, Matte Beta Silver Metallic, has been added to the touring-spec "CMX1100T Rebel." This model is available in this single color.

Additionally, genuine accessory packs have been prepared for customization to individual tastes. These include the "Style Pack" with a short front fender and headlight cowl, the "Comfort Pack" with a rear carrier and heated grips, and the "Travel Pack" with saddlebags and a comfort seat. At this time, the announcement is limited to Europe, and availability in Japan has not been disclosed.
