Compact yet Super Bright! Kijima's Reasonably Priced LED Fog Lamp M1 Series Now Available

Kijima, a manufacturer of diverse motorcycle accessories and parts, has launched a new compact yet high-performance LED fog lamp! A key feature is the ability to choose between white and yellow light by altering the wiring. In addition to a universal type that allows for various mounting methods and models with a little ingenuity, dedicated kits for specific vehicle models are also available.

Illuminates Widely, Choose Between White and Yellow Colors

Fog lamps are effective in enhancing safety during night rides and in adverse weather conditions. Mounted lower than headlights, they make it easier to check lane and road conditions. They also offer excellent customization benefits.

Kijima's newly released "Fog Lamp M1 Yellow/White" is an LED fog lamp that has been made even more compact than previous models. It boasts a high brightness of 3000 lumens, as bright as a spotlight, and a wide irradiation performance with a 360-degree beam angle.

The aluminum body incorporates a cooling fan, ensuring reliability even during prolonged use. With advanced dustproof and waterproof performance equivalent to IP68 (meaning it will not allow water ingress even when continuously submerged), it is also resistant to rain. Furthermore, its affordable price of 4400 yen per unit is a welcome bonus.

Despite housing a cooling fan, it is compact at 57mm in length and 35mm in width. The irradiation angle is 15 degrees left + 15 degrees right (reference value).

The body is made of aluminum. The KIJIMA logo is on the top.

Contents of the "Fog Lamp M1 Yellow/White" (Universal type, 4400 yen). Includes one fog lamp, harness, stay, lamp visor, bolts, etc. On/off control is possible by attaching the separately sold lamp switch.

You can also choose between white (6000K) or yellow (3000K) light. While light colors are typically fixed, this product allows you to select white or yellow illumination by changing the wiring during connection. Specifically, connecting the red wire extending from the power harness to the vehicle's wiring will result in white light, while connecting to the yellow wire will produce yellow light.

White light is generally easier to see, while yellow light offers better visibility in adverse weather. It's advisable to choose the illumination color based on the frequency of use in different scenarios.

White (6000K) or yellow (3000K) is selectable. While not switchable on the fly during riding, it's convenient to be able to change the color according to the application.

Versatile Mounting Possible with Ingenuity, Convenient Lamp Switch Also Available

As this is a universal product, separate stays and wiring may be required for installation. However, with a little creativity, it can be adapted to various models, offering high flexibility in mounting positions.

It can be fixed horizontally or vertically using the included mount (left and center photos). The photo on the right shows the lamp visor attached, which prevents light from scattering upwards.

Furthermore, attaching the separately sold lamp switch allows for on/off control of the fog lamps, enhancing usability and reducing power consumption. Two types of switches are available: a handlebar mount and a mirror mount.

"Fog Lamp Switch Clamp Type (22mm)" (2640 yen). The switch can be mounted on the handlebar for one-push on/off control.

"Fog Lamp Switch Mirror Screw Mount Type (10mm)" (2640 yen). This is a 10mm hole stay type designed for mounting on the screw part of the left mirror.

When on, a green pictogram illuminates, allowing for immediate confirmation of the fog lamp's operating status. Dustproof and drip-proof performance is equivalent to IP67, and use in submerged conditions is not permitted.

Dedicated Kits for Easy Bolt-On Installation Also Available!

In addition to the universal type, dedicated kits for the Grom, Monkey 125, Dax 125, and PCX are also released. These kits include stays and switches, allowing for easy bolt-on installation once the wiring is done. Kijima plans to expand its lineup of such vehicle-specific kits in the future.

"Fog Lamp KIT LED Monkey 125 18Y-" (16,500 yen). This is a set of two lamps, designed for symmetrical installation on both sides. Note that illuminating different colors on each side violates safety standards and is prohibited.

"Fog Lamp KIT LED M1 GROM 21Y-" (19,800 yen). A two-lamp set designed not to interfere with the distinctive headlight and shroud design.

"Fog Lamp KIT LED M1 DAX125 22Y-" (19,800 yen). A set of two lamps that can also supplement the dim stock headlight.

"Fog Lamp KIT LED PCX125/160 25Y" (10,450 yen). A single lamp on the left side is installed, prioritizing balance with the vehicle's design.
