On October 6, 2026, Kawasaki Europe released a teaser video for a new vehicle titled "Destination: Adrenaline. Coming soon.." on YouTube. Although the full view of the motorcycle is not shown in the approximately 16-second video, by overlaying the composition of the riding scenes with the engine sound and inferring from the surrounding environment, it seems highly likely that this is the "VERSYS 900," a crossover model equipped with the Z900's inline-four engine!

Paved roads, rough pavement... Do the riding scenes suggest an adventure/crossover?

The video begins with an aerial shot overlooking a canyon lake

The video starts with an aerial shot overlooking a canyon lake, then cuts through a series of rider-perspective onboard shots: winding roads along cliffs, narrow, rough-paved roads through grasslands, and unlined tunnels carved into mountainsides. It concludes with the text "DESTINATION: ADRENALINE" and "STAY TUNED" along with the Kawasaki logo.

There are no scenes on circuits or in city streets; the composition of connecting roads with various surface conditions is a presentation style typical of the adventure or crossover genre, rather than super sports or naked bikes.

The cockpit, visible for a split second, is equipped with a large screen

The cockpit area, visible for a split second around 0:09. A meter stay can be seen behind the large screen

The only part of the vehicle visible is during the tunnel entry scene around 0:09. The camera is mounted facing the front of the vehicle; the road ahead is visible through a tall, edged screen, and a stay supporting the meters and auxiliary equipment is visible in the foreground. There is also a lime green reflection on the screen, suggesting the vehicle is finished in Kawasaki's signature color.

The distance from the handlebar position to the screen and the height of the screen, designed with wind protection in mind, are reminiscent of the touring-oriented package found on the VERSYS 1100 and VERSYS 650.

The engine sound is a four-cylinder. Is it the "900," the younger sibling of the VERSYS 1100?

The exhaust sound overlaid on the video has the tone of an inline-four that revs high. Among the four-cylinder models currently offered by Kawasaki in Europe, the engines in the middle-to-large class suitable for adventure are the 636cc from the ZX-6R, the 399cc from the ZX-4R series, and the 948cc from the Z900.

Of these, the ZX-6R engine has characteristics suited for super sports, making its adaptation to an adventure/crossover unlikely. While the ZX-4R series is sold in Europe, it is unlikely given the nature of the market to develop a 400cc-class four-cylinder into a crossover for Europe. By process of elimination, what remains is a model using the Z900's 948cc inline-four, in other words, the "VERSYS 900."

The top model of the VERSYS series, the 1100, is equipped with a 1098cc four-cylinder engine producing 135ps, with a vehicle weight of 260kg. If the 900 is introduced as its younger sibling, the output would likely be refined to a low-speed focus equivalent to or slightly lower than the 124ps of the Z900, and the weight would likely be around 230–240kg, an increase of 10–20kg over the 219kg of the VERSYS 650.

Kawasaki also released a teaser video for the Ninja H2 in Europe in September 2026, titled "Return to Beyond Belief," and continues to tease new models ahead of EICMA (Milan Show) in November. If the VERSYS 900 appears, it will be a four-cylinder crossover filling the gap between the VERSYS 650 and the VERSYS 1100, but... what will actually happen?

The video concludes with the messages "DESTINATION: ADRENALINE" and "STAY TUNED"
