This feature highlights a motorcycle from the Webike Community that has caught our editors' attention. This time, we're featuring the Honda "CB1100," owned by "Nyakichi."

CB1100 (1100cc) Owner: Nyakichi

Introduced in 2010, Honda's CB1100 is a model that reinterprets the traditional mechanism of an "air-cooled inline four-cylinder engine" with modern technology. The engine, featuring cooling fins reminiscent of legendary bikes like the CB750F of yesteryear, was designed not only for its aesthetic beauty but also for ease of handling in everyday use and a comfortable pulsing sensation. Its character, emphasizing the joy of riding and the sense of ownership inherent in motorcycles without relying on excessive high-tech features, has garnered support from many riders and made it a long-selling model cherished for many years.

Nyakichi, the owner featured today, chose the CB1100 as a replacement for their Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace. They utilize the bike for a variety of purposes, from daily errands to touring, enjoying it with a practical stance that emphasizes riding the motorcycle. Through a comparison with a beloved family motorcycle from the past, they seem to have a deep understanding of this bike's unique personality as a "smart, distinguished gentleman."

Switched because the Thunderace's vehicle inspection was expiring.

The classical appearance, especially the shape of the tank and the chrome tank cap, is excellent. The ride is satisfyingly smooth with good acceleration, so I have no complaints. Also, it's often said that the engine sound is reminiscent of the CB750's air-cooled engine, but as my brother used to own a CB750K1, I must say they are completely different. The K1 model was a more rugged, masculine bike. In contrast, the CB1100 is a bike that suits a smart, distinguished gentleman. As for usage, I believe motorcycles are meant to be ridden, so it's versatile for everything from daily shopping to touring.

The seat is thin, so my butt gets sore.

Few people ride this bike by revving it hard like a sports type, so there are many units in excellent condition even with high mileage, which I recommend. However, as it's a machine, there's also a risk that sudden malfunctions can occur when the rider changes.

I want to do something about the seat and I'd like a grab bar.
