This project introduces one bike that the editorial department is interested in from the MY BIKES posted on the Webike community. This time, we are featuring the HONDA "Ape100", owned by "SasurainoRider".

Ape100 (100cc) Owner: SasurainoRider

Ape100 is a Class 2 moped leisure model from Honda that debuted in 2002. Based on the 50cc Ape50 model, it is equipped with an enlarged vertical air-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine. It features a compact body and thick 12-inch tires on both front and rear, and it was highly popular as a base for customization. Even now that it is out of production, it is a masterpiece that continues to enjoy strong support in the used market.

SasurainoRider was looking for the smallest possible bike for transport touring when they encountered this Ape100. They have given their bike the unique nickname "Andy the Ape" and seem to be enjoying rides that take full advantage of its compactness.

■Purchase motivation, usage, and comparison models

I was looking for the smallest bike possible for transport touring.

■Pros

You can enjoy sharp cornering with the 12-inch tires♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪

■Cons

Performance is on par with a 50cc. It is far less powerful than a 90cc Cub...

■Advice for those considering buying one

Although the market price was quite high for a while, it has settled down in recent years. Is now the time to buy??

■Future custom plans

I want to change the footpegs, which are dangerous in corners, to foldable ones.
