[New motorcycle model] Vespa New Primavera and Sprint Series Launched with Improved Performance Featuring 180cc Engine

Piaggio Group Japan announced that orders for the 2026 models of Vespa's latest Primavera and Sprint will begin on June 26th. These models feature a new 180cc engine with an expanded displacement of 174cc, balancing performance and environmental friendliness, along with special 80th-anniversary editions.

## New 180cc Engine with Increased Power and Enhanced Comfort Features

The new Vespa Primavera/Sprint series features an expanded 180cc displacement, with updated riding performance.

The 2026 Primavera and Sprint series are equipped with a new 180cc I-get engine, increasing displacement from the previous 155cc to 174cc. This change boosts maximum power by approximately 20%, from 12.3 HP to 14.8 HP. Notably, this power increase is accompanied by improved fuel efficiency, achieving a WMTC mode value of 43.1 km/L.

For enhanced convenience, a newly designed color LCD display meter provides easier access to vehicle information. When paired with the optional "Vespa MIA multimedia platform," smartphone connectivity is also possible. Furthermore, the S version comes standard with a keyless system, significantly improving everyday usability.

## Introduction of the 80th Anniversary Model and Special Edition "Officina 8"

The Sprint 180 Officina 8 features Industrial Blue, a special logo, and bar-end mirrors.

In terms of design, new elements such as an emblem commemorating the brand's 80th anniversary, newly designed wheels, and a front tie have been incorporated, adding modern touches. For improved practicality, a retractable bag hook has been added to all models. The lineup includes special editions such as the "Sprint 80TH" in traditional pastel green and the "Sprint 180 Officina 8" characterized by its industrial blue color.

The price starts from 533,500 yen for the Primavera 125, and 572,000 yen for the 180cc models. Orders are now being accepted at all authorized Vespa dealers, with shipments scheduled for June for the 125cc models and around August for the 180cc models.
