BrightLogic's GSX-R1000

A sleek GSX-R1000 custom by Bright Logic. The base model is a 2009 K9. "The details are as you can see," says Mr. Takenaka of Bright Logic, but let's take a closer look at the specifications just to be certain. "The cowl is stock, and the frame cover is CLEVER WOLF's carbon. Both the front and rear suspension feature Ohlins, the wheels are JB-MAGTAN, and Brembo is chosen for the brakes for both the front and rear. The step kit is by AGRAS, and the exhaust is a Bright Logic slip-on. Well, really, it's just the same as usual," he adds.

While it's true that the usual Bright Logic sports custom parts are used here, what's important is that they have been chosen to improve functionality and operability. Also, the base bike has been well-tailored, including proper positioning for handling the bike correctly, the necessary parts to enhance its performance, and ensuring a sturdy, lightweight build. This also involves greasing moving parts and replacing worn-out rubber components. Instead of doing something special for each individual bike, what might be considered special in general is done as a matter of course for every bike. By doing so, bikes are prepared to enjoy a unique world that goes one step beyond the standard. "K5 to K8 models are popular, and we focus on handling them here. While the newer models are good, they come with more electronic controls, which can be a bit of a hassle to modify. For this reason, many users prefer to properly customize and enjoy K5 to K8 models and K9 models, which have fewer electronic controls," he says. A good base with a proper setup is something you should be conscious of for any bike.

Handle

The front master cylinder is a Brembo RCS, and the clutch holder is matched with it. The mirrors are installed using a Magical Racing NK-1 mirror by extending the bracket from behind the cowl. The stem and meters are stock.

Bodyworks

The exterior features an OEM Single Seat Cover. The fender eliminator kit is from Magical Racing. The rear turn signals are stock and come with integrated tail lights, but the front turn signals have been converted to ultra-small LEDs, greatly enhancing the slim look.

Engine

The 999cc water-cooled straight-four engine is the stock of the GSX-R1000 K9. It is installed in the stock frame with aluminum twin spar and black finish. It is also fitted with Clever Wolf's GSX-R1000 '09-'16 frame cover. The tank protector is made of carbon twill weave and is also from Clever Wolf.

Chassis

The steps are covered by a 6-position STRIKER Special Step Kit. The exhaust system peeking out from underneath is a Bright Logic Slip-On Exhaust.

The front forks are Ohlins with carbon fenders, and the front brakes are Brembo GP4RX calipers and T-drive discs.

The rear brakes are Brembo CNC 2-piston calipers + Sunstar discs. The rear inner fender/chain case is also carbon.

Rear shocks are Ohlins TTX with stock GSX-R1000 swingarm/link. The wheels are MAGTAN JB3 3.50-17/6.00-17 size.
