Kawasaki has announced the 2027 model of the "Versys 1100" for the European market. This model marks the 15th anniversary since the debut of the first generation "Versys 1000" in 2012, and it is powered by a 1099cc inline four-cylinder engine. It delivers a maximum output of 135PS, offering an audibly and physically enjoyable riding experience with strong torque in the mid-to-high RPM range.
The vehicle is equipped with numerous features to enhance long-distance comfort. A highly cushioned seat, excellent wind protection, and a relaxed riding position reduce fatigue even during extended rides. The long-travel suspension and 17-inch wheels allow it to handle a variety of road conditions.
Electronic controls are also comprehensive, featuring Bosch's compact IMU for cornering management, power mode selection, traction control, and an integrated braking system. Furthermore, smartphone connectivity (Rideology App), LED cornering lights, electronic cruise control, and an adjustable windscreen are standard. A quick shifter compatible with up/down shifts is also available (optional on the standard model).
The 2027 "Versys 1100" will be available in three grades: Standard, S, and SE. Additionally, by combining genuine accessories, specifications such as "Tourer," "Tourer Plus," and "Grand Tourer" can be created.
Kawasaki intends to continue asserting its presence in the European adventure market. There has been no announcement regarding sales plans in Japan at this time, and future developments are eagerly awaited.
