[European Announcement] Subtle Color Change! Kawasaki Launches 2027 Model Year "Z1100" and "Z1100 SE"

Kawasaki has announced the 2027 model year for its supernaked "Z1100" in Europe. Compared to the 2026 model, the color graphics of the high-grade SE version have undergone minor changes.

1099cc "Sugomi" Naked Gets a Color Change

The Z1100 is a supernaked bike featuring the "Sugomi" styling common to Kawasaki's Z series. The 1099cc inline-four engine delivers powerful torque in the low-to-mid range and sharp throttle response in the mid-to-high range. It adopts an electronic throttle valve to achieve smooth and natural engine response.

The chassis uses a high-rigidity aluminum frame, balancing sharp cornering performance with predictable handling. The suspension features a 41mm diameter SFF-BP front fork and a horizontal back-link rear suspension. It is also equipped with advanced rider support technologies such as traction control utilizing a 6-axis IMU, an up/down quick shifter, and riding modes.

Furthermore, it comes standard with electronic cruise control and a 5-inch TFT meter compatible with the "Rideology" smartphone connectivity app. The assist & slipper clutch provides light lever operation and suppresses rear-wheel hopping during downshifts.

In addition to the standard model's equipment, the high-grade "Z1100 SE" features Brembo M4.32 front brake calipers, Brembo brake discs, stainless steel mesh hoses, and an Öhlins S46 rear shock with a remote preload adjuster. A USB-C port is also mounted on the handlebar.

There is one color variation for the STD and one for the SE. Both follow the color graphics of the 2026 model, but the SE has received a minor change where the radiator shroud ducts and undercowl have changed from black to green. Availability in Japan is currently unknown, but further updates are awaited.
