The center of attention was a futuristic light green! Three new colorings rich in individuality
The newly announced YZF-R3/R25 for the 2026 model year. The only major change is in the color lineup, but the three colors used on the standard model are all new. Yamaha's well-known blue color is now shared with the 2026 YZF-R series, and the logo has been significantly changed to create a new graphic image. The black color is harmonized with a single tone metallic base, unlike the previous matte color. The most unique color is the completely new light green (Pale Blueish Green Solid 2). This mint color, which replaces the previous matte pearl white, is said to be the essence of the "Y2K trend," a modern interpretation of the culture around the year 2000. However, the fuel tank, frame, and other parts are black, and the vivid graphic design features bright red accents. In addition to these three standard colors, the YZF-R3/R25 will be available in a total of four colors, including the "70th Anniversary Color" white, which has already been available in limited quantities since February 27, for the 2026 model year. Pricing remains unchanged at 726,000 yen for the YZF-R3 and 690,800 yen for the YZF-R25. The new models will go on sale on May 28, 2026, with a planned sales volume of 1,600 units in Japan for the entire year.
The 2026 YZF-R3 and YZF-R25 models will only change color schemes, but all colors will be revised and new.

A stalwart of the mid-size SS series, easy to handle and well-equipped for every day driving.
The 320cc YZF-R3 and 249cc YZF-R25 share the same basic design, but are differentiated by engine displacement. The liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder DOHC engine incorporates Yamaha's proprietary advanced technologies such as diazyl cylinders and carburized connecting rods, and the R3 delivers maximum output of 42 PS at 10,750 rpm. In terms of functionality, the R3 is equipped with an A&S (Assist & Slipper) clutch that reduces the load on the lever, a Y-Connect smartphone app, and a USB Type-A socket. In addition, from the 2025 model year, the YZF series will be equipped with large M-shaped air intakes and winglets, which are common to all YZF series models. With excellent aerodynamics, this model is gaining popularity as a middle-sport bike with a wide range of riding options, from casual touring to full-fledged sports riding.
The YZF-R3/25, with new styling for the 2025 model year, boasts high popularity as Yamaha's iconic SS middle class.
For 2026, a limited number of 70th anniversary colors will also be available, with red and white graphics reminiscent of the 90's YZF series.
