Which Domestic Cars Caught Your Attention in 2025?

Many noteworthy car models were announced for 2025, but what kind of cars did Webike Plus readers find interesting? We will present them now, but note the surprisingly high number of views on small models for Asia. Motorcycles made by Japanese manufacturers are very popular in Asia, and with more and more production bases for Japanese-made bikes being located in Asia, new models are often introduced before their Japanese counterparts. Most of the models announced at the spring motorcycle shows have been launched, but in addition to the Japan Mobility Show, notable models were also announced at overseas shows such as the Milan Show and the Chongqing Show. 2026 has many things to look forward to, but first let's look back at the ranking for 2025.

No. 10 : Honda Rebel 250 E-Clutch

No. 10 is "The Rebel 250 E-Clutch is selling like hotcakes! Chosen by 80-90% of users, and if you pre-order now, will you be able to buy it in the fall?" The article "Rebel 250 E-Clutch" garnered 28,300 page views (PV). The Rebel 250 boasts high popularity as Honda's standard cruiser, and its popularity has been spurred by the adoption of the E-Clutch, which electronically controls the clutch. In fact, sales of the E clutch model account for about 90% of the sales of the Rebel 250, so it is likely that more and more Honda models will be equipped with the E clutch in the future. The popularity of the Rebel plus the attention paid to the E-clutch is the reason for the growth of this article and is indicative of future trends in motorcycles.

No. 9 : Suzuki DR-Z4SM

No.9 : [Osaka MC Show Flash Report] Super Motard DR-Z4SM - Fastest Footing & Detail Check! Will it be the king of the streets? Motorcycle Show 2025" was the "DR-Z4SM," which garnered 28,700 PV. The DR-Z4S, Suzuki's 400cc off-roader that was revived this year, and the DR-Z4SM, its supermotard version, both drew a great deal of attention. The DR-Z4SM attracted far more interest from readers than the DR-Z4S, as we had already published a similar footwear check article on the DR-Z4S, but that article received only 7,300 PV, or about a quarter of the total. The result was that the DR-Z4SM attracted readers' interest more than the DR-Z4S.

No. 7 : Kawasaki Z900RS & Honda CB1000F

No. 7 was "[Thorough Comparison] New Z900RS vs. which received 30,900 PV, is Kawasaki's Z900RS and Honda's CB1000F. These two big nakeds attracted the most attention this year, but they were ranked in this order as stand-alone articles due to the large number of related articles. However, the fact that the comparison article attracted so much attention suggests that the two bikes are serious rivals, and many users are wondering which one to buy. The CB1000F is already on sale, but the CB1000F SE, equipped with a bikini cowl and other features, is scheduled to go on sale on January 16, 2026, and the Z900RS on February 14. It will be interesting to see which of these two vehicles will be higher in terms of new car sales next year.

No. 6 : Suzuki SV-7GX

No. 6 was "[Detailed Report] Suzuki's 2026 New Model "SV-7GX" with Stable 645cc V-Twin on Trellis Frame! Pursuing a comfortable middle tourer with electric throttle & advanced electric system" is Suzuki's latest tourer, the SV-7GX, which received 32,300 PV. This is partly because of the attention paid to the SV-7GX, but also because many users are looking forward to the new models with 650cc V-twin engines, the SV650/X and V-Strom 650, which were announced to be discontinued just before the SV-7GX. Nevertheless, the fact that the SV-7GX has been introduced in compliance with the latest Euro 5+ regulations means that it is almost certain that a variant model with a 650cc V-twin engine will be introduced. We look forward to waiting to see what Suzuki has in store for us this year.

No. 5 : Kawasaki KLX230 DF

No. 5 was "[New Car] Kawasaki's national defense dual-purpose! The wild-looking KLX230 DF is now available in Japan" by Kawasaki received 34,300 PV. Based on the KLX230 Sherpa, a derivative model of the KLX230 with an air-cooled 232cc single-cylinder engine, the KLX230 DF is equipped with a rear carrier, engine guard, tubeless rear tire, and other tougher features as standard equipment. The body color is the so-called "national defense color," khaki (*Kawasaki calls it medium Cloudy Gray), and the frame, wheels, and other body parts are blacked out. The reason why this model attracted more attention than the Sherpa on which it was based may be that the DF, with its increased toughness, is more suited to users' tastes.

No. 4 : Honda NS150GX

No. 4 was "[Overseas] PCX has a third kind of sibling! New SUV-style model " NS150GX " appears" received 43,400 PV. Manufactured by Sundiro Honda, a joint venture between a Chinese company and Honda, this model is a sibling of the popular PCX series in Japan. This full-cowl sport bike was unveiled at the Chongqing show in China, and is powered by a newly developed 502cc, parallel 4-cylinder engine mounted on a steel frame. The name of the vehicle, which does not refer to "RR," suggests that it is an all-rounder that can be used for a wide range of purposes. The vehicle on display is an E-clutch version, equipped with the latest features such as an electronically controlled throttle and a 5-inch TFT LCD meter. As for the Japanese version, we are expecting not only a 400cc version, but also power comparable to the 77 PS of Kawasaki's rival Ninja ZX-4R/RR. The CBR400R FOUR is expected to make its debut at the Osaka/Tokyo Motorcycle Show in the spring of 2026.

Although the name has only been gone for three years, the name "Cygnus X," used for about 20 years, is still familiar and has attracted a great deal of attention in Japan. The new "Cygnus X/XR" model features a new design with a three-lens light consisting of two square LED projector lenses plus a lens for high beam, and DRLs on the side of the cowl. No.1 : Honda CB500 SuperFore (CB400 SuperFore)

No. 1 was "[Super Quick Report] Finally, the official announcement of the new Honda CB500 SuperFore (CB400 SuperFore) !Honda ' s new CB500 SuperFour (CB400 SuperFour ) made its world premiere at the Chongqing Show in China." The article "CB500 SuperFour (CB400 SuperFour)" recorded a whopping 219,400 PV. It has been three years since the CB400 SuperFour disappeared from Honda's lineup, and the price of used models has been rising rapidly. With its popularity so high, it is only natural that the CB500 SuperFore, which is expected to be the base of the successor model, has attracted so much attention. Its design is instantly recognizable as a CB, and the adoption of inverted forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear is expected to improve driving performance. The engine is a DOHC 4-valve parallel 4-cylinder, and while the CB500 SuperFour will have a 502cc engine, a 400cc version will naturally be available for the Japanese market. It will also feature an E-clutch and a 5-inch TFT LCD meter, as well as other features such as smartphone integration. It is scheduled to go on sale in China in the spring of 2026, and there is a strong possibility that it will be unveiled in Japan at the Osaka/Tokyo Motorcycle Show in the spring as the "CB400 SuperFour.
