This Sportster x Cafe Racer is full of details!

Satoshi Yano attracts many riders as a driving photo photographer. He is a "true motorcycle enthusiast" who owns several motorcycles as a hobby while working in the media. His favorite bike is a Sportster Cafe Racer with a Yamaha tank. He also has a 1942 side valve (HD WL) for sand racing, a shovelhead he added this year, and another Sportster.... One would think that he is a Harley fanatic, but he has a wide range of motorcycles, even owning a GB250 Clubman (VMX spec) and a Cub! In conversations with fellow bikers, he shows a keen interest in all kinds of bikes, and once we start talking, we are amazed at the amount of knowledge he has. One of the reasons why he is so popular as a "charismatic figure" is precisely because of the breadth of his knowledge. In this issue, we will introduce the details of the Sportster that Mr. Yano built for the "JOINTS2024" custom show, as well as the secret story behind its creation! Mr. Yano is synonymous with YAMAHA Tank (RD50) equipped Sportster (aka Yama Harley)

What made you decide to buy it?

'I already had a café racer Sportster, so I had no intention of adding another one." Surely...one Yamaha Harley (Yamaha tank Sportster) would satisfy your desire for ownership and riding! 'A friend of mine who was a mechanic at the time was going independent, and one day we were hanging out in his garage and he suddenly handed me a piece of paper...' What? A love letter? It was a love letter from a friend of mine who was a mechanic at the time, and I was playing with it in his garage when he suddenly handed me a love letter? Would you let me enter it in a custom show? He proposed to me. Mr. Yano....he is a bit of a jerk..." Instagram "G.spec" (custom builder of the vehicle this time) https://www.instagram.com/g.spec044

Days like a cultural festival for a custom show

'This is where the production for the show started. We felt bad about leaving it to our friends who were working as mechanics to complete the show bike by the deadline. We would gather in the garage night after night to discuss the project over pizza delivery, help polish the bike, and so on. Despite all the hard work, it was fun, like a grown-up cultural festival!" I envy you! It's youth, isn't it? By the way, you drove yourself to the show, didn't you? (laughs) "On the day of the festival, I said, "I'm going to ride in on my own, even though it's a show! I drove 15 cars to Nagoya, the venue of the show, and about 40 cars saw me off. It's a great memory!

What are your favorite points?

My favorite point of the customization ......... is everything except the frame, fork inner tube, and swingarm (lol). It's very racy, but still somewhat American. The oil tank was moved to the front of the frame to make it look lighter under the seat! It's a simple but important element that greatly influences the style. What also makes me happy is the buckskin seat, which I have been wanting to do for a long time. My butt won't shift when I accelerate! It's not just a beautiful finish, but it's a quintessential element that is removed! Custom details] - Front cowl called "Iron Mask" (one-off) - Moto Gadget meter - Painted Sundance Enkei wheels - Magura Sepahan - Grimeca master cylinder - Daytona throttle holder - Top bridge smoothing process - Stuffed YAMAHA RD 50 tank ・Aluminum oil tank (one-off) ・Air cleaner cover (one-off) ・Changed carburetor ・Cam cover processing ・Back step (one-off) ・Muffler (one-off) ・Seat (one-off) ・Aluminum tail cowl (one-off) ・Motogadget 360 degree blinkers ・Agusta's Master cylinder - Ohlins rear suspension - Tires: both front and rear K300GP

The cool masks are distinctive.

What do you do to maintain the bike?

I like a "dirty bike", but I can't let my friend who made it for me to have a dirty bike! So I have a hard time keeping it clean. When you're not riding, you're wrapped up in a blanket, right? Yes, that sounds like a joke, but it's true! LOL While I try to keep it as clean as possible, it's a show bike that was built with the expectation that I would ride it hard. I don't want to keep it clean until I can't stand to ride it.

When I don't ride it, I keep it wrapped in a blanket... a beautiful Sportster.

It is well built by a friend who understands the character of a man who rides guns more than he rides cleanly and carefully!

What is the charm of Harley/Sportster?

The throbbing of the engine. I love the way the engine blows up, which can be a bit unrefined depending on how you look at it, right? (laugh) The Yamaha tank Sportster has been converted to a Buell engine, and it has a pulse and blowup that is not found on ordinary Harleys. So I have decided not to tune the engine of this sportster in order to enjoy Harley-ness. (For now .... Laughs)"

Should you own a Harley at least once?

I am more of a fan of European and domestic old cars and custom motorcycles. I also own one Harley, but it is a single-cylinder model made by Aermacchi of Italy and does not fit the original appeal of this Harley. There are many people around me, besides Mr. Yano, who have owned Harleys, and many of them talk about the appeal of Harleys. The more I listen to them, the more I think, "After all, should I own a Harley at least once? The more I listen to them, the more I think, "After all, I should own a Harley at least once. ......... So, if you have any good deals, please contact us (lol) Instagram "Single Cylinder for Everyone" https://www.instagram.com/minnano_tankito [ caption id="attachment_504143" align="aligncenter" width="1280"] Mr. Yano and his Sportster "double tail" riding while feeling the unique pulse of the Sportster.
