BrightLogic's GSX-R1000R
A '22 GSX-R1000R customized by BrightLogic. It was ordered by the same owner as the 3rd generation Hayabusa shown in the photo down below, featuring the same all-black design concept. "Just like on the Hayabusa, anything that can be black is black. The footpegs, the pillion step brackets, the pivot shafts, the front and rear axle shafts, and their corresponding nuts," says Mr. Takenaka from BrightLogic.
Similar to the Hayabusa, this bike is equipped with a silencer brought in by the owner. The bike is mostly stock, except for the steering damper, which has been replaced with a black Ohlins damper. Metal parts have been colored using black anodizing and black plating, and the wheels have been painted black to match the overall theme. The coloring method varies depending on the material of each part. "For instance, if we were to leave the windshield mounting screws silver, it might be distracting or stand out. Therefore, we have also made those screws black. I was initially concerned about the reservoir tank on the lower rear side of the front fork, but this component cannot be disassembled. So I decided to create a black aluminum tube to cover it." The bike's exterior, including the SUZUKI logo on each part, has also been painted black. However, the base color of this bike is matte black, which is a marked contrast to the glossy finish of the Hayabusa. These two full-black bikes give us a good idea of how to distinguish one from another through customization, and how to bring it all together at a high level through the theme of color.
Electrical
The top bridge, stem nut, and lower bracket are also blackened, and the Ohlins steering damper is positioned beneath the stem. The front fork tops, clutch adjustment dials, and other parts that are frequently adjusted or accessed were left untouched.
Bodyworks
A comparison with the glossy Hayabusa (on the right), which has also been blackened based on the same "all-black" concept, is also enjoyable to see.
The exterior is completely painted in matte black. Additionally, the windshield mounting screws, originally silver, have been painted black to minimize their visibility.
The exterior has been coated in matte black. The SUZUKI logos on the tank's sides, under the headlight, and on the side cowl were painted on instead of using stickers.
The seat and rear fender are stock, and the 1000R logo on the side of the tail cowl is painted. The accessory single seat cowl was also painted before installation.
Intake & Exhaust
The silencer is a US-made Yoshimura exhaust brought in by the owner. The rear brakes are stock and the wheels are also fully black without the stock rim stripes.
Chassis
The outer tube of the stock BFF front fork is finished with black anodizing. The reservoir (gold color) was left as it is because it cannot be disassembled, and an aluminum tube was made to give it a black appearance. The Brembo calipers and discs are stock.
The 3.50-17/6.00-17 size wheels, swingarm and rear shock are stock. The drive chain has been changed to RK black.
The Showa BFRClite rear shocks were left stock. The bank sensors on the steps are plated black.
