A must-have item for circuit riding that directly leads to safety and improved lap times: "Tire Warmers." In the previous article, we introduced the appeal and lineup of the MOTO-TRON RACING brand, active in top international races like the Suzuka 8 Hours. However, for many Sunday racers and track day users, the real question is, "Can even the affordable basic model really warm up properly?" Isn't that what you're most interested in?
Therefore, this time, we prepared the Webike president's beloved Kawasaki ZX-25R (race-spec) as a test vehicle. We actually installed the standard model "PRO-TRACK Tire Warmer," which does not have a rim heater, and numerically measured "how many minutes it takes to reach what temperature?" using a non-contact thermometer. We deliver a practical impression from the perspective of a rider competing in races!

【Installation Verification】Fitting PRO-TRACK to the race standard "Ninja 4J Wheel (140 size)"
The president's ZX-25R, our test vehicle this time, has been modified with "4J rim wheels for Ninja," which is a common custom for circuit riding and races like JP250. The rear tire size has also been changed from the genuine 150 size to a "140 size (140/70R17)" that emphasizes cornering performance and light handling during quick direction changes. This is exactly the same specification as a machine competing at the forefront of racing.
When we installed the PRO-TRACK (for rear 140 size), which is the compatible size, on this rear 140 size setup, it was a perfect fit that was almost unbelievable! The side skirts neither sagged nor stretched, cleanly covering up to near the wheel rim, and the Velcro aligned perfectly at the optimal position. MOTO-TRON's precise stitching and the excellent balance of the elastic shirring created a gapless fit that prevents heat from escaping!
【Temperature Measurement】How is its performance? (Time Schedule Measurement)
Now for the main event: the temperature measurement test. PRO-TRACK has a standard structure that does not include a rim heater function to heat the wheel rim. After turning on the power, we measured the surface temperature at three points – "center tread," "shoulder (edge)," and "rim (wheel)" – every 15 minutes using a non-contact thermometer and tracked the surface temperature changes.
We used a silent inverter generator DAYGENE1700 at 60Hz for the power source.

| 60 min | 90.6℃ | 78.6℃ | 43.2℃ | 95.4℃ | 90.0℃ |
From the actual measurement data, it was confirmed that PRO-TRACK reaches approximately 73-80℃ in the center tread just 30 minutes after power-on, rapidly rising to a temperature range where full grip can be achieved immediately after entering the course. The rear tire, in particular, showed excellent heating response, reaching 63.4℃ after just 15 minutes.
Furthermore, even when the set temperature was increased to 90℃, the controller display and the actual tread measurements corresponded accurately, **ultimately demonstrating an overwhelming heating potential of 88.6-90.6℃ in the center tread and 71.6-78.6℃ in the shoulder.** When the power was turned off after measurement (temperature in the center tread dropped to around 71℃) and then reheated, **it demonstrated an astonishing recovery capability, quickly reaching around 90℃ in just 15-20 minutes after restarting.** Although the rim (wheel) part does not have a rim heater, it was gently warmed to around 40℃ over time, proving its solid performance that provides a high sense of security on the circuit.
Verification
The conclusion from this measurement is that **"MOTO-TRON's basic model (PRO-TRACK) has more than sufficient heating performance."** Even without an expensive high-end model, you can gain reliable security and improved lap times with this PRO-TRACK.
Furthermore, the high fitting accuracy that securely envelops the standard 4J wheel + 140 tire combination was also demonstrated. The absence of unnecessary gaps maximizes heat efficiency, supporting rapid temperature rise even during short pit times. For circuit users who want to "obtain genuine security and performance at an affordable price," this is undoubtedly a "must-buy" top-quality warmer!
PRO-EXTREME Tire Warmer
While this verification confirmed that the basic PRO-TRACK has more than sufficient heating performance, the high-end model "PRO-EXTREME Tire Warmer" is recommended for more demanding race scenes where every tenth of a second counts, or for riders who require more thorough tire management.
The biggest advantage of PRO-EXTREME is its "Rim Heat specification (equipped with rim heater)" that directly covers and heats the wheel rim. By thoroughly warming the entire wheel (aluminum rim) in advance, it not only accelerates and stabilizes the rise in tire internal air pressure but also prevents rapid temperature drops after pit out. Furthermore, it allows for precise temperature settings with a high-precision digital controller, making it the ultimate professional-grade warmer that achieves the perfect setup tailored to track conditions and tire compounds!
